Didn't ask anyone. Now I think it is forbidden at Ventimiglia ... At Viareggio don't take off from the beach too near the town... there are stories that they have confiscated the paramotor and you get a fine ! So a couple of Km away from the port. In this season there should be no problem

Hey Gaetan! Thanks so Much for your answer. I just got my license (5 montes agi) and thought it would havebeen much easier to fly from anywhere… and I should admit that I am quite disappointed. First our region is not an easy one… so amazing to be seen from the sky but no area allowed… I am a little bit by myself and dream on your videos or to spend week end flying around with night at some area reachable only with the Paramoteur… where are you based… would you accept someone flying with you occasionally.. Thank you so much!

I do not really know from where to start with the paramotor.restrictions seem high and I am a little confused to who I should ask authorization to take off. EAch time I am asking clubs, they are rejecting my request. I saw your video when you are flying over la sainte vistoire. I event asked the paramoteor club in aix en Provence. They told me they would not accept anyone else... From where did you start? I would live to have my own adventure. it seems so usual and easy for you, but it is not when you never did once. Need to start from somewhere to get used to it. Hope you see my point. Thank you for all and congratulations for all your videos!! very well done

I don't know your level of experience, but Sainte Victoire I would say is not for beginners, as you have to know the mountain somewhat and choose the right time to fly ! Restrictions: well find the places where the air space is OK to fly in and go there ! The Nice area is a bit complicated.... Be familiar with air spaces and how to read the maps ( www.geoportail.gouv.fr/carte?c=-3.09814453125,48.24662559071382&z=9&l0=GEOGRAPHICALGRIDSYSTEMS.MAPS.SCAN-OACI::GEOPORTAIL:OGC:WMTS(1)&permalink=yes) You have to respect that map, in every country... Also its important to get the right wind conditions... Windy has some altitude free wind forecasts, I personally use Meteo Parapente (paid version) it is precise and can give the wind up to 10000 metres every hour... Just fantastic. Of course I didn't have that when I began... And when I began I wanted to fly everywhere... so I explored and did it. And I encourage you to do the same... it is easy, you don't need to ask permission. Clubs in the area ... well, no need to ask them... they are more business orientated to train people and not to have members just coming and flying.... The interesting point in Paramotoring (for me) is to not always fly in the same spot. I started in fields near Aix, you have to practice, practice, practice and fly, to gain experience and confidence.... there is no other way around it ! Sure I go on flying adventures from time to time but believe you me it is a workout, finding the takeoff zones, the right conditions, camping spots etc... Find a place not far from where you live and fly as often as you can to get a good hang of it, so you feel at ease in your mind and with your equipment. Then start adventures.... This being said every one is different in their approach. Stay positive in your approach.
